Is It October Yet?

Is it October yet? man what a summer. I'll try to summarize here (actually I'll make a list) of the major events of the last six months or so.

May: Mom's 75 birthday

May: Talk at IPHS meeting, COMPEX,  on Northwest Side Postal History

May: Uncle Paul winds up in the hospital

May: Start new job at Saint Benedict Technology Consortium/Archdiocese of Chicago

June: Aunt Ela arrives from Houston

June: Uncle Paul dies, funeral
July: Stamps for Kids at Gospel Fest, Bronzeville

July: Claudia's cousins: Wolfgang, Paulina, and Leon arrive from Germany

August: Wolfgang and Paulina leave, Leon stays 3 additional weeks
August: Short trip to Toronto

August: Leon leaves for Germany

August: Dad winds up in hospital

September: School starts, work days increase
September: Dad in nursing home

September: move Dad's stuff from apartment

October: breathe
