Decentralized Networker Congress in Chicago and Cyberspace

Decentralized Networker Congress: a call for works, performance and interactivity

During the weekend of November 2 - 4, artists from all over the world will be participating in gallery events, performances and interactivity in conjunction with the Decentralized Networker Congress 2012. The theme of these events is as follows: wherever in the course of 2012, two or more artist/networkers meet shall constitute a congress. The topic of discussion will be the ongoing role of the networker. While several calls for work have already been issued, electronic hubs in Chicago, cyberspace and elsewhere are now being organized. Consider the following possibilities:

Galleries in US, Argentina, Italy, Canada, Serbia, and UK are have issued a call for network art for this event. mail art, multimedia, and written documentation of congresses are being transmitted to the gallery network physically and electronically.

Electronic hubs in Chicago, cyberspace and elsewhere will attempt to facilitate streaming topologies using available networks. If your poetry, performance, or images can be collected into a video or audio format, an attempt can be made to include it as part of the live festival taking place in galleries, living rooms and artists’ studios on the weekend of November 2 - 4.

Artists are encouraged to use physical mails, email, telephone, videophone, Skype, webcam, streaming media, video, Facebook, etc. to continue the discussions.
